Fairly new Warframe player has a question for the Veterans !

So I actually started to play Warframe couple days ago and recognized that my MR is getting up when I do level different Weapons / Warframes so i kept crafting Weapons and stuff even if I dont like them. So now my problem is that my Inventory space is full.
And now the question : Do I really have to spent Platinum to get more slots or can I sell max level weapons that I didn't like ? Are there any other things u would have done when u started to play the game but u obviously couldn't do it because u didn't know about it.
Feel free to give me any advice / recommendations .
