i apologize for the word vomit here, i've been trying to deep-dive into this lore for the last hour or two and have gotten nowhere.
but hi! i recently picked the game back up, and when i first got in it put me into the duviri paradox. i had no idea what in the hell was happening or who the drifter was but i played through it once and went back to the main quests.
fast forward to today, and i finished the new war campaign and just wrapped up on Whispers in the Wall.
so, i mostly understand the whole deal with the sentients vs tenno and the new war story beats. the only thing that really messed me up about it was the end cutscene, when that big wall comes out of the portal and moans some stuff and our operator is sitting on it(?). did i miss something?
following that, i did angels of the zariman, which seemed pretty solo-standing lore wise.
then i hopped into whispers in the wall, and now im just lost. i get the main plot, with albrecht having gone into the past so Loid can't follow, in order to protect Loid from his "demon."
im just completely confused on what that thing is, and is "Wally" the same thing? should i replay through duviri for any of this?
tl;dr: what the fuck is the wall and why is there a man in it? and who's wally?
