Should I build Saryn or wait to make Prime?

Just farmed Saryn and I'm not sure if I want to build her or just farm the plat to buy her prime. Itd be like 250-300p for Prime on Xbox, so it would take me a bit. Was thinking about trying normal Saryn first and maybe grabbing prime at a later date.
Edit: Already have leveled Saryn, I'm asking if I'd lose much if I make a build for Saryn insteadnof just waiting to get the prime.
