Anyone else find these annoying? Not sure if it's just my strategy to want to bludgeon everything to death asap during combat, but I keep finding these weapons with wind up skills.
Like I set a skill to attack a radius the following turn, chances are no enemies will be there at that point.. and I've got 12 party members fighting, so chances are pretty good if there is still an enemy there, it's probably going to hit my guys too because they're surrounding them with attacks that require it. I'm sure they cater to a specific playstyle or difficulty level but IMO they're just boring and make the battles just drag on.
I don't like them either. They are tricky to use effectively. The best way to use it is to have them go last on in the turn order on turn 1 and every odd round, and go first in the turn order on every even round. This nearly guarantees the hit on the even rounds, as the enemy will not have moved yet.
The biggest problem I have is that an immediate hit weapon could literally kill 1 target in round 1 without having to set up the field for it. Removing something like an enemy archer on round 1 is WAY more effective than having to wait until turn 2 to do major damage.
