A Sniper Movie?

Sorry to ask for a movie after someone else already did so, but i just dont know where else to look.
So my dad has always wanted to rewatch a movie he saw years ago, but he doesnt remember the name.
He described one of the scenes he remembers as such:
There is a sniper housed up in a building giving covering fire as his allies advance, but they are all killed. So the sniper runs and hides among the dead bodies until the enemy passes by
He remembers it being a WW2 movie. At first i thought it may have been Enemy at the Gates, but after watching it he said its not. Makes me wonder if it may be a foreign film.
