WW2 Europe campaign memoirs
Post Body

Hey. I've recently developed an interest in reading World War II memoirs, particularly first-hand accounts from U.S. infantry soldiers during the European campaign. I’m looking for recommendations similar to the following books, which I’ve really enjoyed:

  • If You Survive by George Wilson
  • Parachute Infantry by David K. Webster

I’ve also read and liked:

  • Company Commander by Charles MacDonald
  • Easy Company Soldier by Don Malarkey

The key elements I’m looking for are books written by actual veterans (or in cooperation with veterans), focusing on the infantry perspective of U.S. soldiers during the European campaign from 1944 to 1945.

Any recommendations you could share would be greatly appreciated!
