Ok, so I realise the answer to this is probably “give them a call”, but if anybody knows what’s going on and can save me the 45min on hold I’d appreciate it.
Way back in 2019, we booked to stay at POFQ in May 2020. We took advantage of the discounted magic bands and ore ordered some special edition ones for our trip. Here’s the thing though - we’re in the UK, so they weren’t going to be shipped to us, we had to pick them up from the front desk of the hotel.
For obvious reasons, the May 2020 trip didn’t go ahead. Our booking was put on hold, and we received a refund for some of the extras we had purchased (behind the seeds tour). I couldn’t see a refund for magic bands, but there was so much going on at the time, I thought maybe I’d just paid on a different card and missed it. I did a live chat on MDE and they said it should have been refunded, but to call the merchandising team to check - unfortunately they gave me a US number, and I’m not that bothered about the refund at this point, so I figured I’d just leave it.
Now, we’ve rebooked our trip yet again for (hopefully) May 2022. I logged on to order premium magic bands again, and it says we have three already active on our accounts - some very old ones from a trip in 2016, standard grey ones from our 2020 trip, and the premium ones we ordered!
Now, since I’ve paid for them, and they seem to exist and be linked to my account, I presume they do in fact exist. However, how do I get them? Since they are no longer linked to my reservation, will they still be waiting at the desk when we check in? Are they lost forever? How do I get hold of them? I would quite like to have them if possible, as mine was a limited edition one that I don’t think you can order any more.
Apologies for rambling a bit, thanks in advance for any advice.
