So I (39f) have a solo trip planned for late spring and I am so excited you guys!! I just wanted to thank all of you on this subreddit bc I joined only a couple months ago and I had never even heard of the idea of a solo trip until I read about it on here!
I have been on several trips to WDW over the years (meeting up with my friend and her family who live in FL) and this was my first time finding out that solo trips were a thing and all different ages go on them and have a wonderful time (college kids/business people/retired/etc).
I’ve always had a WONDERFUL time every trip to the parks but I just got an annual pass in December and I have longed to be able to explore the parks (every nook and cranny) on my own terms. Stop in whichever store I want to stop, check out the more “boring” rides that no one else ever wanted to go on. And just really take my time at the parks and never have to consult what anyone else wants to do.
I will be going for 7 days. The first two I am meeting up with that same friend, but then they are heading home and I will have 4 glorious days checking out each park by myself.
I would have never considered it had I not seen so many glowing comments on here and also how much everyone stressed the safety aspect (I am a petite woman). I feel totally safe enjoying the parks myself (while still being smart and cautious and maybe not being too open about being alone!). Anyway THANK YOU!!!
(Any more advice is much appreciated! Like have a favorite spot to sit and people watch? If you have gone by yourself and want to give any tips I would love it!)
I’m going solo for the first time in early April. Coming from Australia. Bring on the single rider lines.
