Some of you might Remember that I took my girlfriend to Disney for the first time
She has never been there we're both in our 60s. I've been many times as a younger person and then as a parent and Now has an old person
I will say the magic is definitely not what it was going with small children but we definitely had a great time
We stayed at the all stars and I think I will never do that again. It is worse than a Motel 6. Very long walk to the buses. Wasn't worth whatever deal we got at all. There literally was no blankets in the room we had to ask for them. The fridge doesn't have a freezer. Next time I go I will splurge for really good accommodations or I will stay off-campus
The highlight of the food was tiffins. Whoever recommended that thank you
California grill which also came highly recommended was way too expensive for what it was not worth it
After stressing a lot about The lightning lane and genie plus they were extremely simple to work. Somebody recently said that you'll spend all day trying to do it that was not my experience at all it took just a few minutes at 7 AM and then 2 or 3 times during the dayTo set up the next ride. I have a phone that does not hold a battery so I was worried about it... it just was not an issue at all
We also rented scooters What a blast
I think that was more fun than anything
I still put in nearly 10000 steps which is about 3 times what I normally do even with the scooter The scooters can go right up to some rides and even into a lot of rides I thought there would be a lot of control about where we parked them because I remember years ago they're being a lot of control about where we put the baby carriages
It was like a free for all. We parked anywhere we wanted. A lot of fun getting around I would actually say it made the whole experience possible for us
The whole bus thing with the walking was just too much we ended up getting Uber's back-and-forth
I thought I was really gonna enjoy the food and wine festival but we ended up trying nothing and going somewhere for dinner which was lovely
Where we went I can't remember the name but it's the new restaurant in Morocco at epcot. We also got to watch the fireworks from there which I don't think will worth it. Meaning the fireworks sucked not the restaurant. I know that may be a minority opinion but there you have it
The parks were not at all crowded we were there Tuesday and Wednesday
The only thing I did not get to do is the ratatouille ride. You could not use the genie plus and I'm not the type to stand in a line for 90 minutes for just about anything. That was disappointing
It was a lovely 2 days we did 2 parks I probably will go back and do the other 2 in a couple of years
I would also add Ia down day next time.
