It’s so short it hardly even seems worth orchestrating, but it has the best music and it might be the only thing that’s awesome about the mid-day rains, show- and attraction-wise.
If you haven’t seen it, here is a video someone else took and posted and it’s a ton of fun. We end up singing it every time it rains once we hear it.
Edit: here is a lower audio quality but better timed display of the music!
Edit: and another
I guess it only started in 2020, * so if you haven’t gone since Covid started make sure you don’t skip Main Street if it looks like the parade will be cancelled. I did find that it didn’t seem to happen every intended parade time when it was raining, so it could be based on the amount of warning the CMs and organizers have before the parade is slated to start. I have no idea, but I love it so much.
*I actually found a video of it posted in 2018, which makes sense because I could’ve sworn I had seen it shortly pre-Covid, but again I’m not a CM and there’s conflicting info on different sites. The one I found has them also playing singin in the rain at the end, and some characters out and about! Maybe if it’s not actively coming down that second they allow them to go out? I didn’t get to see it last time I went, so I have no recent personal evidence. But still so much fun and just a weird little thing to see!
