Am I looking at this info correctly? This was sent to me from a friend. This seems like a squeeze opportunity.
REKR (Rekor Systems, Inc.) currently has 15.73% short interest with a short ratio of between 14.77 (Seeking Alpha) and 16.84 (Schwab). On Dec. 13th, FINRA short interest showed the stock had current short volume of 14,614,359. Since Dec. 13th, FINRA short volume has only accounted for 5,037,204 shares (34.47%). The stock price since Dec. 13th has gone up 54.76%. This still leaves 9,577,155 (65.53%) of short shares remaining to be covered. Avg. daily volume is 1,092,896 (Yahoo Finance) today's volume was 16,712,620. Assuming selling pressure doesn't budge (it's held fairly steady since this morning).
UPDATE: Latest FINRA short volume data shows an additional 4,289,370 shares were traded today. Reducing the remaining short shares to be covered to 5,287,785 (36.18%).
