Lake of the woods

Hey guys, new here, going to Lake of the Woods this summer in late July early August for a weekend fishing with a group of eight guys. My first time fishing the south west corner. Staying at a resort on Rainy River by the outlet to Rainy River. Any broad stroke advise for fishing walleye on that part of the lake? I heard Zipple bay is good. Curious if someone has a bait, method that works good? I'm a huge fan of lazy man troll and jig, but this is a big open body of water...
