So it was 40 minutes before we close and there was only one lady in the store and she’s just filling up a basket with makeup and shit. Has to get a cart later because she gets too much.

This guy walks in and decides to just up and take her basket and walk out the door.

I’m stressed cause it was a lot and we can’t do shit.

But here’s where it gets interesting.

We get a call from the police, the dumbass pulled out of the parking lot with a cop nearby who saw him throwing shit in the car.

It turns into a chase and an officer comes by to collect information from me. This all happened while my poor cashier was in the bathroom.

Turns out the driver and the thief had crashed the car and were arrested.

Best part: it was a fucking stolen car. Which also means we don’t get our stuff back for a bit but the dumbasses were caught.

No one was hurt thankfully. I passed the actual car on my way home and there was 5 cop cars and the crashed car was in the opposite traffic lane with thankfully only that car crashed.

All in all, the dumbasses got caught for stealing and it felt great not having to do shit.
