Yesterday two young white guys approached my register with one holding a case of beer. One of them opened his mouth when I said I need both of their IDs. He hated that. I said it's policy. He said, "Is it policy you wear that mask too?" I said, "Absolutely not. I choose to wear it." He looked at my name tag and aggressively said my first name and then asked me, "What is your last name?" I didn't give him my last name and I said, "Yep, that's my first name. But what I can do is refuse service and call the police and have them escort you out of here because you're trying to intimidate me." He then apologizes, they both hand over to me their IDs, I ring them up, and they both laugh out loud as they walk out the store. Next time, I'll throw them both out if they open their mouths and won't bother serving them. I don't come to work to get abused. I don't know WHAT is going on lately, but I see a ton of posts on here about increasing hostility, anger, and violence towards us Walgreens employees. If things don't change, more of us will only leave the company. I honestly don't remember it being this bad as far as customers are concerned. Something else happened to me yesterday on the SAME shift. Smh. I'll save that for another post.
