This is more so a rant/asking if this is even allowed. Our ESM has been doing a new way of asking customers about the credit cards and it works, but it’s super scammy. All she does is ask “would you like to earn $40 in points?” And when the customer says yes, she just clicks the credit card prompt and tells the customer to answer the questions on the pinpad for the points. Doesn’t mention it’s a CC at all until the very end. She wants all of us to ask that way, but no one in the store feels comfortable asking that way besides her. Is that way of asking even allowed/legal? I know the pinpad says it’s a credit card, but not telling customers it’s for a CC just seems scammy.
mmmm its over 30% interest, let's scam everyone to get a credit card to ruin them.
