Hi all, I accepted a walk tonight and am now a little nervous. The walk is for an hour in the middle of downtown Chicago, so $18 with a preset 20% tip.
When I looked at the notes, it appears that either this is their first walk, or it’s a scam because there are no notes.
I also noticed their location is in the middle of downtown Chicago (the loop) with no unit number. I sent a message to owner asking about unit number, and she said that no one can be let up in her building and she would meet me in the lobby.
This building is all retail on the first floor, and I tried to look at what the apartment or condo building is called. The only thing I saw is that it houses dorms for the art institute, which I assume wouldn’t be dog friendly.
It seems a little sketchy, but the owner has been responsive thus far. I am also nervous to request a cover because I don’t want to start getting denied walks as others have mentioned.
Thoughts? I’d love advice/input.
