So I recently started watching the WWE again (Raw & SmackDown) and I haven’t consistently watched it since probably middle school which would’ve been before 2016/2015 but I was a huge fan undoubtedly. However I can’t help but notice it’s lacking in things I didn’t used to think about before, for instance wrestlers today look too regular and low effort like a lot of them wear T-shirts and jeans with Jordan’s and Nikes sneakers on which are visibly seen. Now I know that isn’t a new thing for wrestlers to wear street clothes but I feel like it just homogenizes there characters better when they have wrestling trunks and or singlets with there boots and kick pads on plus it may not be a individual wrestlers problem but I feel like they also do lack in creative/graphic design too. Furthermore another problem I see in todays wrestlers is that there are a lot more groups and cliques than I remember, now that may just be something only I notice but I don’t remember there being as many groups or cliques back in the day. I guess the reasoning for this is because not everyone has mic skills or ring generalship but there’s a lack IMO of more singles talent, lastly I’ll combine two of my dislikes on the WWE so I think the aura and ingenuity of the wrestlers today is something that hits the most like I’ve seen other wrestling promotions and they just look and feel more authentic and there wrestlers are nice asf when it comes to move sets and styles like Japanese or other international wrestlers they always looks so smooth and agile and they do some of the most insane moves I’ve seen and I wish it’s something the WWE would add to there books.
