Cody and the Rock exchanging belts

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but that was the Rock passing the torch. Cody is the modern people's champ. The 'war' between Cody and the Rock is just a story, the reality is the Rock was quietly acknowledging Cody as the new face of the WWE more so than Roman was, and cooking close to if not surpassing the Rock himself. Thoughts?
I think that was the whole point of that promo
