Back during his first stint, U-92 would play this song during their comedy show. I don't know who wrote it, and I've never been able to find a copy or even a reprint of the lyrics. Some of them wouldn't fly today, so I won't repeat that part here, but it went a little something like this:
Life is fun here in Morgantown
I go to class when the PRT's not broken down
If you get in a car with a [REDACTED]
You're gonna die of suffocation and delirium
I've only been here seven years, and I'd like to graduate
I only need one P.E. class, but I'm waitlisted 108th.
Hey, E. Gordon Gee!
Take off your bowtie for me!
Hey, E. Gordon Gee!
You look like Howdy Doody
(Then we have this bridge...)
We used to do okay when we mined lots of coal
But look at the shape we're in today
When our state flower is SKOAL!
Anyone remember this song and/or have further details on its author? Given recent events, this song needs found again and plastered all over the internet.
