I blew a tire on a pothole yesterday and so I'm heavily thinking of doing what I initially wanted to do and get a rally-inspired setup that is still perfect for daily driving. I want it to basically be a great all-rounder. A jack of all trades. Able to take some abuse. I'm between getting 17-18" wheels or downgrading the brakes with 15-16" wheels.
I saw that Method claims on some of there wheels that the 17" wheel can fit over the 2019 Brembo brakes. Anyone have any experience with these wheels? Specifically looking at the 502s.
Another option I was looking at are the OZ Rally wheels. They don't mention so I assume I'd have to get them in 18". Are either of these options recommend over the other, considering the OZ wheels are like $100 more each?
Or, should I do what I've seen others recommend and downgrade the brakes with 15" wheels? That would 100% lean more towards offroading than daily street use but is that necessarily a bad thing? What is the perfect balance between street and beefyness? I feel like this is the way to go personally if I ever really want to take it on some dirt roads, provided some other modifications were made as well.
For tires I'd like some durable all-rounders that will last enough time, not be super expensive, and have rally tire characteristics like the beefy sidewalls. Definitely not legitimate rally tires as they will wear down way to quickly.
Does anyone on here have experience with this sort of thing, or have a good resource I could find information?
