This would be my first Suby and I specifically am looking for the hatch. I found one I'm keen on but there are a few things holding me back. It has 159k (kms or 98k miles). It's all stock minus an SPT exhaust, short shifter and turbo heat shield.

The current owner has only put 20k on the car as he's looking to upgrade to an STI. He hasn't done or had to do any specific repairs minus regular oil changes and brakes.

I'm stumped as I don't know how well it was maintained before him. He says the clutch feels fine, head gasket was inspected at 120k when the timing belt was changed and isn't aware of any other maintenance done by the previous owner.

Does anyone here have additional recommendations on what I should look for? I will be test driving it within the next few days.
