So cars been sitting outside for a week and it’s been getting colder in my area. I tried to get in the car and start it and when I turned the key all my accessories ( radar, charger and some interior lights) and all the lights on the dash came on but the car wouldn’t start. At first I thought it might be the battery so I tried jumping the car but no luck. Then I thought I didn’t hear Andy noise from the starter so I gave it a few taps and the car fires right up. Was left with a check engine light with code for position sensor. Clear the codes and reset the exist and tried the same thing again and the car starts up fine my question is is this just something that can happen for the the age of the starter ( 2008 car I believe starter is the factory one ) and the weather or is my starter just going bad now.
