Backstory:
My car got dinged today by a tow truck driver backing through my street - I saw it happen in real time. He hit it with the trailer and messed up the bumper pretty bad. He refused to stop, so called the cops, and they found him about a mile down the road parked up. He told the cop it was a language barrier thing and gave his info - so sadly they won't push ahead with hit and run charges because he gave info to the cop - despite leaving the scene and making no effort to get back in touch with me - FFS.
Wondering if any of you fine people know what kind of impact going through the insurance and the associated accident record would have? 2020 base model WRX with about 32k miles.
