1000 miles of babying the car done

Im loving the car and the cult i mean community. Just hit 1000 miles in my 24 WRX, should I still be in the break in period? The dealer didn't tell me about a break in period but I figured it might be better to keep that car under 4,000 RPM. Any advice here would be helpful.
