I didnât heal only from my last relationship but also from the person I used to be and all my setbacks from the past. That's why it took so long for me to say, âI'm finally okay; I'm okay enough to accept, acknowledge, change, and reflect on those situations. Indeed, healing is not linear, but that doesnât mean that youâre not making any progress. Face itâface those sleepless nights, anxieties, and breakdowns. Do not avoid the pain because it will not be beneficial for you in the long run. It takes a lot of courage to heal and acknowledge that you are brave enough to face itđââď¸. It took me 3 months straight (every single day) to just cry and bedroot, reject every social interaction, and miss a lot of galas with friends, but the outcome is worth it. So, if you feel like it's taking you so long to heal, please remember that the outcome is always worth the time. We have a lot of time in this world (unless you die). So, be at your own pace. Who cares if they moved on already and you donât? Who cares if theyâre not worth crying for? Who cares if they messed up or not? It may sound cliche or what, but forgive them; you can curse them for 2 days or so. but forgive them and accept the fact that we are just human beings who do stupid things and learn from it, that no matter how careful we are to not hurt anyone, the fact is we will, and thats a hard pill to swallow, so accept, forgive, change, and reflex. so for anyone whoâs healing rn remember that youâre doing that for yourself, not for them. So invest in that healing process. You got this.
