i’m [16F] starting sixth form (school for people aged 16-18 in the uk) in september and i’m travelling quite a while to my new school. where i’m at currently, i’ve always been ‘the gay girl’ as i was the first girl to come out in my school (first as bisexual when i was 11, then as lesbian at 15).

now, i’m attending somewhere where i don’t know people, and while i’m quite good at making friends, i know that i’ll have to endure the ‘i like girls’ conversation which can be a little awkward.

i’ve never had a girlfriend because i’ve just never really had a crush on anyone around me, no one’s really ‘my type’ i guess.

i want to have a girlfriend when i start sixth form, but i don’t know how to figure out who i can pursue and who not? i don’t want to rely on stereotypes and asking people upfront could be invasive / awkward lol.

i’m think i’m going to wear a lesbian bracelet so i don’t have to come out constantly, but how can i find other wlw?
