Hi all, I'm a semi-noob when it comes to LED's and whatnot. I'm looking to add around 3 metres of LED's to my staircase. Can anyone spare some advice please.
Post Body

Equipment I currently have

ESP32 controller

100w PSU

WS2812B light strip

18awg silicone wires

The part thats got me a bit confused is the sensor mechanism. I've considered buying these PIR sensors but I've been led to believe they can result in frequent false positives when people walk past the staircase.

The other option I had was to use these break beam sensors.

What would you suggest?

Could anyone eli5 how I would I set either of these sensors up?
