I wanted to get the communities thoughts on Volk as I don’t see him discussed here often but he’s been number one or two on my PvP and mission teams for weeks and I’m surprised not to see more.

1. Huge damage with a high pen percentage. His damage upgrades ramp up pretty quickly and with six hits and 55% pen before his special it actually means something u like the majority of multi-hit units such as Bellator with their measly 20%

2. Enormous damage ability with CC: Frenzied firing also shares in rapid damage scaling and a great penetration % but with two other major benefits:

Multi-target means that you can wipe missions easily, delete enemy summons rapidly, and you don’t commit much “overkill” if a weak enemy is also in the same radius

Suppression: Makes moving safer for your units, hurts enemies mobility, and lowers damage.

1. Strong melee: Most units with a strong ranged attack let alone with good pen suffer in melee to make up for it. My boy? “Only” four hits and with power weapon damage so still 40%

2. Passive: Honestly I never rely or even think about this but not even at level twenty you have a 1/3 chance of adding ~100 damage per shot (so six hundred) and 20% pen which is hundreds of damage more by even early mid game.

3. Regular Passives The guy is stacked: Regular hits? Suppressive. Demon? 25% chance to block 50% of his huge damage. He gets average block chance for a decent amount yet can still build into a cannon LTGB: Murder everything

His down-side? Still a pro. Can be in grass or trenches but units around him take -1 hits, so he’s almost mobile grass for your team, regardless of map.

Anyone else use him? Stupid strong passives, great/decent abilities one of which counter current meta, and looks like a roided gorilla. Everyone wins when you pick Volk.
