So last year I tried to start the degree program but needed to get to college level math.
So I did what they said, and signed up for straighter line.
And the program was complete dog shit in my opinion. The UI was confusing and i wasn’t sure where to go or what to do and ended up just haphazardly going through the math.
I didn’t know which book to start with or which chapter in the book, so I just started at the beginning and did every other problem which took forever. At the rate I was going, 2hrs a day I calculated it’d take me a year (or two? I don’t remember) just to get through the algebra book.
Eventually I just quit.
So this time, I went to the local community college and I’m in the process of signing up for the math class at the college. I got a placement test so I’m not going to waste time on stuff I don’t need to do.
So, my question is, is the entire degree program at wgu this crappy of an experience? Or does it get better once you actually get in?
I really dislike the picking and choosing what I should and shouldn’t do in terms of homework problems. I’d rather jus have them give me the thing and I do it.
