Has anyone had any issues getting information as to why an appeal was denied? THis is not my first appeal. I had to submit one as I had a apartment complex fire (Thankfully not my apartment, but still totaled my stuff) so I unexpectedly lost my apartment. The team was super helpful and we got it all handled in no time flat. Fast forward to now. My grandma was put into final care this last term as well as my computer dying (smoke damage finally caught up to it) and losing files and a few other things. Long story short, I submitted the appeal, thought all was well and I could focus on getting my classes done...no. I'm told it was denied with a cut and paste explanation of what information they use to determine, but nothing as to why it was denied so I could address those reasons.
I tried to book an appointment but they are booked up for 2 weeks which is too long, so I emailed them, asking for more information and all I got was "I reopened the case and gave you a space to add to your statement and add any third party documentation." Great, thanks...but I still have no idea what I need to submit to clarify anything. Any ideas as to what to do or who to contact or anything? Without financial aid I'd have to drop out, and I'm SO close to finishing. So frustrating!
