PES - Any tips for not getting slaughtered online?

I play PES 2021 and I am getting battered online
The opposition seems to press me so hard I dont get a second to make a pass and they carve right through my defence with ease I lost 6 games yesterday
Maybe some decent guides to help me? Also I can only do simple settings for tactics how do I change that?
