Roles of the Government

Emperor - The Emperor is the eternal leader of the nation. The Emperor is the final arbitrator in any law or conflict. The Emperor can remove a seated member of the government at any time without approval. The Emperor may become the sole ruler of the nation in times of great conflict. If the time arises that the Emperor may no longer rule the nation, the Heir Apparent will take over full duties with the seated Chancellor assisting. If the Emperor is imprisoned by a foreign government, the Chancellor will assume full responsibility as Acting Emperor.

Chancellor - The Chancellor is an elected role in the Vzis Government with a term duration of 4 months. The Chancellor oversees all operations going on in and out game. The Chancellor is responsible for adding members to the in game groups, managing census, bill, voter and election threads. The Chancellor may be involved in negotiating deals with other nations. The Chancellor may be removed from power directly by the Emperor or by a referendum by a citizen. If done by referendum, all eligible citizens may vote either “Aye” or “Nay” if they are in favor of removing the Chancellor. If the majority vote “Aye”, the Chancellor will be removed from office and an immediate election will take place. All citizens are eligible to run for Chancellor. During elections, there will be an option to vote for neither candidate. If no candidate reaches a majority, the Emperor has the power to decide the winner.

Head Judge - The head judge is an elected role in the Vzis Government with a term duration of 3 months. The head judge will be in charge of the Vault and all the prisoners kept in the vault. The Head Judge has the discretion to decide who can be released or kept imprisoned. The Head Judge can also take cases as a normal judge will do. All citizens are eligible to run for Head Judge.

Judge - Judges are elected roles in the Vzis Government with a term duration of 2 months. Judges are responsible to take legal cases and act impartial. They also have vault access and must tend to pearls with coal regularly. All citizens are eligible to run for judge.

Heir Apparent - The heir apparent is a ceremonial role given by the Emperor. The heir apparent role itself does not give any extra power over the government. The heir apparent may run for any position in government. The Emperor can change the heir apparent at anytime.

Elder - Elders are roles given to former members of the Government or high profile citizens. Elders may act as assistants to Judges and the Chancellor. A elder can act as a judge if given permission by the Head Judge.
