so when I started taking vyvanse in november, it changed my life for the better. I was more motivated, happier, and FAR more focused than I had been in years. the first time I got it filled, my psychiatrist made sure that it was to only be the brand name!
my refill came in right before christmas and I went to pick it up. but I think since my psych didnāt specify a second time that she only wanted me on brand name, the pharmacy didnāt catch that drift. so they gave me the generic lisdexamfetamine. I made sure to check posts on here to see how people have reacted to the generic. I kept seeing stuff about headaches and it not working as well as brand name. my silly ass was like āoh! that wonāt happen for me though, I havenāt had a headache in years!ā
boy was I wrong or what š« not only have I had several headaches but even AFTER eating food, I remain irritable af. when I was on adderall in high school, after eating my irritability would always go away! I also HAVE noticed that it doesnāt work nearly as well as brand name in terms of my focus and motivation. in addition to all that, Iāve experienced misophonia these past couple of days. Iāve emailed my psych office twice now but theyāve yet to get back to me (which I mean, itās the new year, I can kind of understand that)
so yeah, hopefully I can get back on brand name with a swiftness. anyway, I hope everyone has a nice morning and I also want ppl to know that theyāre not alone in being frustrated with this. (Iāve tried my best friendās generic adderall and it works just as well as brand name, so thatās wild too. ugh!)
Iām glad Iām not the only one!! I take 70 mg and the shit doesnāt even feel like 20 milligrams of adderallšš GIVE ME BACK MY ORANGE AND BLUE PILLS!!
