Methods of finding the right med

Post Body

I tend to make more than one post on the same question or whatever to get and answer or start a conversation about my experiences with meds. So I’ve been thinking, what do you think about the method that was used to determine what adhd meds work for me by my psychiatrist? What methods were used to find your “perfect” med?

I’ve tried 10mg instant release adderall and sometimes took more than one 10mg to see myself what dose has a more effective reaction to me (slight affect but nothing substantial, kinda tired), I tried Ritalin 5mg (noticed a decrease of noticing external stimuli, it was like narrow vision but focus wise), I tried modafinil 100mg and I couldn’t fall asleep and felt the same, Wellbutrin 300mg for about 2-3 months with no noticeable improvement, tried strattera 40mg for a few months and had trouble falling asleep and felt more anxious. We’re trying clonadine in the evenings and considering vyvanse. My worry is with stimulants, If I gave them a fair shot, should’ve I tried a higher dose? Should’ve I tried extended release options?
