2014 650 Adventure. Took off the hard panniers. It's a whole new bike!
Post Body

I've had lousy feeling in the front end that I was sure I'd get over, but I was getting to the point where I was questioning my bike purchase. Almost 6k miles in and I still wasn't where I wanted to be. The front felt so light and not in control. I had no confidence getting frisky in my turns and I just wasn't feeling in control on hard-pack gravel. I took all the cases off and went to play around the local state forest gravel roads and WOW is all I can say. It's so nice to feel that connection with a bike again. I'm amazed how much that little bit of weight over the rear wheel just threw off the whole package.

Has anyone else had this experience? Have those people tried anything to counter this so they can still have fun with the luggage? I love the convenience of carrying all my gear since I commute 40 miles to and from work.
