I started posting on GWA as something to do to pass the time during a period of unemployment between jobs. I didn't expect to get so much personal satisfaction out of it—not just orgasmic pleasure but creative expression too!—and I had not planned ahead for how to keep it in my life when I returned to full-time employment. I approached that deadline thinking that like Wily E. Coyote running off a cliff, if I threw enough energy and propelled myself along for a while I could pretend it was working... until I looked down and realized I was completely and totally burnt out. :(

When I realized I wasn't going to be able to avoid that crash, I chose to focus my time and effort on the "worthwhile" pursuit of continuing to have a job, rather than "indulgences" like making porn. Unfortunately, it turns out that trying to solve burnout by denying yourself enjoyable experiences doesn't really lead to happiness. I went from burnt out to depressed and everything sucked for a while. Luckily the new year provided a reason to focus on change, so I resolved to find a way to work erotic audio back into my life.

While nothing much has changed on /r/VoxErotica, I've made slow-but-steady progress in adjusting my "real" life to allow for a return to regular erotic audio posting. I've actually recorded most of my masturbation sessions in the past few months! They're mostly "real audio" & journalfaps, but some are weird experimental ideas. Whatever got me off that day. So I actually have dozens of audio files ready to be edited and uploaded, for whenever I have the time for it!

The aspect of "being Voxy" that takes up the most time and energy isn't audio production, though. It's interpersonal relations. It's making friends, flirting in PMs, responding to comments, listening to other performers' audios, reviewing scripts, and all of the soft-skills human-connection stuff. It's important to me to connect with the people who "get" this part of my personality. Thus, new postings are going to wait until I can catch up on old message threads. That task is my new focus for slow-but-steady progress, and I'll try to make sure I chip away at messages steadily enough to make up for how slow I'll be. ;)

Plus, new postings would generate more comments to reply to! I'm gonna concentrate on open threads and wrap up old business before moving forward. Relatedly, I preemptively reject all obligation to reply to any comments left on this Public Service Announcement. ;P
