Killing alternators

Post Body

I've got a 90 sedan, Canadian spec 230f 2.4 injection , I've gone through 3 alternators. They'll charge beautifully and have proper voltage and then after about a year and a bit they just slowly lose ability to put out voltage. Brushes/rings/bearings are all fine. One was the one that was on the car when I bought it, then I had that one remanufactured by a local shop when it died. After the remanufactured died I bought an ACdelco remanufactured from lordco, that one just died and same thing, no apparent faults. Rest of the car has good connections and minimal voltage drop on lines.

Am I just unlucky and the windings die premature for no reason?
