MY17 XC90 sometimes says in not in park when i turn off ignition
Post Body

Hi all- I've had my T6 Momentum for just over 2 years and recently it has indicated via the dash, after i pull into a parking space and shift to park, then turn off the car.... that i must shift it into park yet. Despite sliding the shifter fully forward into park. Going to accessory mode and shifting to neutral then back to park, or restarting the car and shifting to neutral then back to park has resolved the dash messages in the moment.

I don't want to discover my car wasn't actually in park someday when i return to my car.

Might a sensor be wearing out, be dirty, or am i looking at a larger issue? The transmission has been solid except when coasting downhill (in drive) around 25mph, where it will have a less-than-smooth upshift.

T6 drivetrain, 41k miles, 91 octane fuel, regular maintenance and oil changes. Thoughts?
