I'm thinking about activating the remote starter for my 2015 xc60. i mean it's gonna be $500 but if it can help warm it in the winter, i'm all for it.
my downsides that i see is that alot of people say it can destroy the engine becuase the pistons don't heat up as fast allowing blow-by and contaminating the oil with gas and then it can wear other components down.
i wanna know from those who use the remote start feature, if it's caused any damage or if they feel it's not a good idea or if it's all just negligible damage.
also any mechanics that could weigh on if it's not a good choice or not that'd be awesome as well. thanks guys!
