Hello friends!
I can’t even believe our little community has grown to over 20,000 subscribers! We are growing so fast that we hit 20k last week and by the time I could finish this project we are now over 23k. I’m so excited to share that I’ve arranged an AWESOME giveaway for you guys. I reached out to some of my favorite volume food producers to see what they could share with us, and they came through, big time! To enter, just comment below: your favorite volume food or favorite thing you’ve seen from this sub, before June 1, 2020 (full rules in a stickied comment below).
Here are the super delicious products that we are giving away:
- Miracle Noodle Hearts of Palm Pasta, Shirataki noodles and rice, and ready-to-eat meals
Shirataki noodles are a staple volume miracle, saving us time and time again with their low calorie noodley goodness, but did you know that they came in RICE form? And that Miracle Noodle has branched out into 20-calorie per serving Hearts of Palm Pasta and delicious, ready to eat noodle meals with 80-180 calories per 2-serving CONTAINER? This could be a total game-changer! I am dying to try the hearts of palm pasta. The winner will receive: 3 containers of hearts of palm pasta (each container has 3 20-calorie servings), angel hair shirataki, shirataki rice, and 3 ready-to-eat meals of their choosing! (US shipping only)
- Snacklins case of 12 bags, assortment of all 4 flavors: Nacho, Miso Ginger, Chesapeake Bay, Barbecue
I’ve posted about these before and, after buying these at my local grocery several times, I personally just bought a case which is sustaining me through quarantine. It’s truly a snacking revelation. These are crunchy chips that are 80-90 calories PER BAG and the flavors are all delicious. It’s seriously half the calories by volume of comparable puffed, crispy snacks. They are also vegan, GF and kosher. Now they just need to invent a way for my husband to stop eating them all. (US shipping only)
- Digital Surprise for one non-US Winner the giveaway products can only be shipped to US participants but if a non-US person wins the drawing, I will personally digitally send them a volume eating gift, TBD.
Thanks for making this the best place in the whole history of the internet!
There are a couple of things I really like about this sub (aside from the obvious takeaway that volume helps healthy eating) which have affected my lifestyle choices:
The sheer number of [tasty] vegetarian recipes shared: I have been vegetarian for some time, and it hasn't been very challenging because of my upbringing. But nearly all food subreddits, blogs etc. I follow to try out new/better dishes are mostly dedicated to non-vegetarian options, and I feel an aversion to veg food blogs. This sub is perfect that way because of its many veg options and tips, as well as low-meat healthy options I can cook for my partner and friends. Additionally, my diet has a lot more fruit now.
Beautiful food: It's rare to see so many healthy diet options where I can see the deliciousness. I now realise that how my dinner looks is a big part of the satisfaction I get from it, and it's an art in a very literal sense. So even the existing recipes I follow now have a visual appeal.
One of my favourite posts is about food that looks like a circus, which makes me nostalgic about circuses too. This is a fun and wholesome sub, and I hope it maintains that quality as subscribers grow.
I'm based in India (and France depending on the time of the year), and I'd appreciate it you'd share details of the digital giveaway, in case I don't win 😊
