I just bought a 2013 Tiguan SE 2.0 TSI, and the “oil pressure engine off” light popped on. Beeped and went off. I told the dealership I bought it from, who took it in, replaced the sensor, and checked the filter and the pressure and said it was fine and they couldn’t get the light pop on while they drove it (they said they drove ten miles, highway and backroads). The car was fine for about a week, I picked it up, drove it two hours to this place, an hour to this one, etc. All fine. Got in the car two days ago, the light came on again. This time it beeped, went off, but the oil can kept blinking on the screen. I pulled over, turned the car off, then back on and it didn’t do it again. Yesterday, same thing.
Took it to a different mechanic, who again couldn’t get the light to come on but was going to check everything again.
Any ideas of what this could be? It’s weird that two different mechanics can’t find what’s wrong but I also feel crazy because it’s happened a couple times to me but they can’t replicate it. The light comes on, and goes off so fast that I barely have a chance to register that it came on, let alone enough time to realize it, grab my phone and document it.
