Recently found myself a 2003 GTI on Craigslist. It's not only my first decent car, but my first manual transmission. Needless to say, I love it! Unfortunately last night I tried to adjust my seat by sliding it back. I used the lever under the seat as normal, but now it seems to be stuck in the "floating" position (slides forward and backward). I can't get the seat to lock into place no matter how much I wiggle the lever and move the seat around. Has anyone had this problem? Suggestions?
I plan on taking the bugger in anyway get the steering re-aligned (had a hit n run while parked on the street like a week after I got it :( ), but with the seat floating like this I can't really drive it to the shop (my legs aren't long enough and clutching is enough to push me further back than my legs can reach).
Help!
And thanks :)
