hear me out on this
trade early powerspikes for monstrous mid-game, huge AP on one pickup and cheap components, benefits your passive, E, and your R, 25% mana refund and a huge mana pool as well as 20% CDR and you stack it extremely fast, and you get a nice shield to pair with your E/sterak's
AA->Rageblade->DD seems like a monster 3 item spike with the last 2 items probably for tank slots, maybe a cheeky liandry's or wit's end if you really feel like pushing your limits
