Custom Arduino doorbell with Vivint Notifications

Hello all,
I have a Vivint security system installed. I didn’t get the doorbell as I already have a camera observing my patio and porch. But I found this project and I’d like to integrate it into the Vivint system with notifications when the bell is rung. Is this possible with the current Vivint system or not quite yet? Any additional hardware I might need?
