Multiple HMD + Controllers on same Lighthouses?

Just had a thought occur to me while responding to another post. Is it possible to have two sets of HMD Controllers in the same play space using the same lighthouses? Only issue I can see is SteamVR might get confused, but since they don't really talk to the computer except for status checks, seems like it would work.
