Vive + USB Wifi - latency / ping spikes
Post Body

When running my Vive, my USB wifi adapters consistently have a single high ping. This happens every 8 seconds while the Vive is powered on (SteamVR is on).... https://imgur.com/tw77rqq

If I change to my other USB Wifi adapter, there is still a consistent ping spike - but the time is only 500-800 ms (and the time between the spikes is very consistently right around 10 seconds). The only difference I can tell is how much power each of those devices consumes...

Is this a problem with my mobo not supplying enough power to the USB hub? Would getting an external USB hub with its own power fix this? I can't seem to identify a good way of changing the power my system is able to supply to the hub. Before rushing out to by a hub, I thought I'd ask if anyone else had encountered this before.

EDIT: Mobo is z97-a-usb3.1 BIOS 2801. Windows 10.
