Vivarium ventilation
Post Body

I posted this on dendroboard but thought I would ask here too. I got a display case that I am planning on turning into a vivarium. Only problem is that there is no ventilation and it is tempered glass. So drilling a hole is out. I am wondering if I mount a fan to the back wall, with pvc pipe going down to the floor and drilling a hole in the base, so that the fan would draw air in from the bottom and then maybe drill some small holes at the front, by the door. Does anyone see any problems I might run into? My first tank (see profile picture) didnt have any ventilation at all and I never had any problems with my frogs. Is it better to leave it a closed system or try and ventilate?
Second question, is it possible to use corrugated plastic for the bottom layer, below drainage layer? It just seems like it would be so much easier to work with when trying to run a pvc pipe out the bottom. As always, thanks for the guidance.
