Few new owner questions. Having some problems and concerns with a Propel 750.

Post Body

Wanted a Vitamix for a long time, was leaning towards the 5200 or Profesional 750, as I mostly wanted power and don't care that much about smart features. During the recent Amazon Prime sale, the newer Propel series (which from what I understand is basically the replacement for the Professional series) was on sale, so I picked up the Propel 750.

Since then I've had a few concerns but I don't know if this is just me overthinking or over-worrying on the expensive toy I just got. I was hoping some other owners might have some reassurances for me so that I don't need to return it or something.

1) The most noticable thing, before I even set the machine up, is that the front dial isn't super secure. If you twist it to the right past 10, or to the left past the self-cleaning, it keeps rotating in the socket, which causes the positions to shift and mis-align until you twist it hard in the other direction again to line them up. I can avoid this if I'm careful/gentle with how hard or fast I twist the dial, but I'm surprised at this since I thought Vitamixes were built like tanks.

2) When blending, I noticed the "power" isn't constant, it goes up and down as its blending. Is this intentional to vary the blades and mix up what's being blended? I've only had cheaper blenders before that attempted to blend at a constant speed, so it was a bit strange for me to set it on 10 and hear it rev up and down rather than just hold at a constant rate.

3) After a single blend, I noticed the rubber seat for the container to sit on is "shredding" off an indent of the container. There's now an outline of where the container sits on the rubber dented into it, and each blend causes some rubber dust to rub off. Is this normal from the high power and as it settles in it will stop wearing away pieces of the rubber?

4) When I was blending a fairly full container (about 50-75% of the 64oz capacity), I notice that the entire machine moves around on the countertop, with a bit of rotation and slow moving around. Again, I know these are powerful machines, but is it normal for the feet to not keep it in place? I basically have to hold it down while it blends which is honestly kind of annoying.

5) Honestly this one is likely more user error, but help would be appreciated. Sometimes when the blending kicks on, most of the contents of the jar are pushed up the sides above the blades and nothing gets blended, and trying to shove them down with the tamper doesn't help much. I basically have to kill the blending, take the container, and slap it down a few times to force things back down to the bottom and hope the next attempt grabs it all. I tried using the presets or starting at lower speeds before going to high but this seems to happen consistently in a lower-liquid situation.

Really appreciate the help or any insights people can give me. I have another week or two left before I run out my amazon return window, so I'm really just trying to see if these are issues I can work around with practice, if they're defects I need to get replaced, or if they're just aspects of the brand/model that I might just need to return and try another instead.
