Hello all,
A few days ago I was diagnosed with Vitamin D deficiency at 26.6 ng/mL. My doc told me to take 5,000iu of Vitamin D along with Vitamin K2. Since then I've been trying to learn everything I can about taking these supps in order to prevent any adverse health issues. Any advice from some long term supplement takers?
To put things into a bit of context, my father whom is very heathy and very physically fit, had to undergo a quintuple bypass surgery thanks to a calcium screen score of almost 1000 which was multiple blockages in his heart. I recently had a calcium screen done with a score of zero thankfully but I want to do everything I can to not end up like he did.
My blood calcium levels are slightly high at 10.4 mg/mL which adds to my concern.
