Hi! I'm going to Iceland from the UK in a couple of weeks for my first trip to another country. I have activities already booked for each day but obviously there will be downtime, especially on the first day where I'm not doing anything from when I arrive (about 10am) until late at night (Northern Lights tour). So, I've got a few questions and I thought it would be cool to ask here!
1) What do you recommend I visit in Reykjavik? That's where I'm staying and I was planning on exploring the city a bit on my first day but I'm not sure where to visit!
2) Is it really as expensive there as others say it is? I've seen price comparisons online and they don't seem as dramatic as others make it out to be, however basically everyone I have spoke to who has visited Iceland have noted how expensive it is there.
3) Is there night life in Iceland? I'm not a big drinker but hey I'm already in another country so I might as well step out of my comfort zone a bit. What's the scene like for stuff like that?
4) It might be a little late for me to start learning, which is a fault on my part, but how much Icelandic do you suggest I know?
Thank you to anyone who can help!
